Wichita State's graduate certificate in higher education leadership prepares students for higher education roles as administrators, policymakers and student affairs professionals—and provides coursework for students currently in the field.

Curriculum

The certificate requires the completion of 15 credit hours chosen from the following:

  • Foundations of Higher Education
  • Finance and Human Resources in Colleges and Universities
  • College Student Development and the Campus Environment
  • Legal and Ethical Issues in Higher Education
  • Practicum in Higher Education
  • Principles of Measurement and Program Evaluation
  • Management in Sport

Admission to the program

There are two paths to admission to the program:

  • For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
  • Prospective students need to use the graduate school application form, as if you are enrolling in graduate school. If you are only pursuing a certificate, simply select "Non-Degree Admission: Category A."
