Our Purpose

Shocker Financial Wellness gives free support for building life skills in budgeting, paying for college, and managing debt. Students learn about personal finance through workshops and meetings with our peer mentors. Peer mentors help students gain confidence about the money they make, spend, and borrow. Being responsible, educated and informed about finances can help students navigate unplanned financial constraints and prepare for the challenges of college and life.

Learning financial skills benefit students in many ways. Students with financial skills have less stress and tend to do better in their classes. Students with financial skills are also more prepared for financial emergencies that happen during or after college. Our services help Shockers stay focused on doing well in school instead of worrying about money.

Shocker Financial Wellness offers free and private personalized financial coaching and planning sessions from trained Peer Financial Coaches. Click here to set up your appointment today!
