The Rie Bloomfield Organ Series presents an organ recital by Lynne Davis in Wiedemann Hall on the Wichita State University campus.
Recognized internationally for her expertise in French organ repertoire, Davis has built a distinguished career as a performer, teacher and scholar throughout Europe and North America. A prizewinner at the St. Albans International Organ Competition, she has appeared in major cathedrals, churches and concert halls across France and the United States. She is also a sought-after lecturer, clinician and juror for international organ competitions.
Davis previously served on the faculties of several leading French conservatories before joining Wichita State University as the Robert L. Town Distinguished Professor of Organ. She also serves as artistic director of the Rie Bloomfield Organ Series and Wednesdays in Wiedemann.
This recital offers audiences the opportunity to experience one of the world's foremost interpreters of French organ music performing on Wichita State's renowned Marcussen organ.
