According to the Recovery Reasearch Institute "The use of a substance for unintended or intended purposes in improper amounts or doses."

Impaired and distracted driving can increase the risk of being involved in a vehicular accident. To learn more about how to practice safe driving, visit our Safe Driving page. 

The #WSUWeSupportU Suspenders4Hope® Substance Use and Mental Wellness Training is designed to help participants develop tools to reflect on how they engage with substances, stigma related to addiction, and how to best support members of their community.

Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids—including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioid medications. Health, Outreach, Prevention and Education (HOPE) Services presents DCCCA's one-hour naloxone administration course to the WSU community to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and respond to an overdose crisis using naloxone and other available resources.
