About the Course
This four day course provides mathematical procedures in determining the allowable dimensional variations and geometric tolerances specified by ASME standards. A workbook is included in this course and is yours to keep.
Through analysis of GD&T we can reduce the cost and time it takes to manufacture. Simultaneously, we can ensure that manufactured parts meet the specified tolerance and functional requirements outlined in engineering drawings. Overall, GD&T calculations guarantee that engineering designs are translated accurately throughout the manufacturing processes and that manufactured parts meet the required quality standards and functional specifications.
Attendees are encouraged to bring examples of real-world drawings is encouraged so the class can review and learn from them. They will gain a deeper understanding of the ASME Y14.5-2018 standard and the calculation methods it illustrates.
The AMP Lab’s “Dimensional Metrology Training Center” will issue a certificate for successfully completing this course.
