Gannon Hall is a finance major who embodies curiosity, adventure, and leadership. He chose the Barton School of Business for its blend of affordability, quality, and opportunity. Through coursework and global experiences, he has built a foundation in finance while developing a passion for mentorship and exploration.

Gannon’s most meaningful experience as a Barton student was studying abroad in Pau, France, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Experience. There, he worked with the Bayonne Ham Consortium to help develop strategies for introducing their products to the U.S. market. The project provided real-world consulting experience and deepened his appreciation for cultural exchange.

He has also participated in the Cummings Student Managed Investment Fund, the Koch Scholars program, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society. His semester through the National Student Exchange at the University of Hawaii at Manoa further broadened his worldview and strengthened his independence.

Gannon’s ambition is to pursue a career in finance where he can support and guide others through strategic decision-making. Over time, he hopes to move into a leadership role that allows him to mentor students and professionals alike.

He is most inspired by his own desire to become the best version of himself, a motivation that pushes him to improve every day. His approach to success is practical yet reflective: challenge yourself, stay curious, and embrace growth as a continuous process.

Outside of academics, Gannon enjoys travel and new experiences. He values learning by doing and connecting with people across cultures and perspectives.

Being recognized as one of Barton’s 25 Under 25 reminds Gannon of how much he has grown since his first year at Wichita State. It represents progress, perseverance, and a commitment to living with purpose. His story is one of curiosity turned into confidence, and of leadership shaped by experience.
