Hailee Hamilton is a marketing major whose story is rooted in creativity, courage, and determination. Originally from Norman, Oklahoma, she came to Wichita State University seeking a challenge and found a home at the Barton School of Business, where real-world experience and collaboration are at the heart of learning.

As an out-of-state student, Hailee faced the uncertainty of starting fresh in a new place. Through involvement in organizations such as the American Marketing Association and Collegiate DECA, where she became a national finalist, she built a community that helped her grow into a confident leader. These experiences taught her how to take risks, lead with authenticity, and trust her own instincts.

Hailee runs her own small business, Hailee’s Handpaints, where she designs and markets custom pieces. Managing a business at a young age sparked her interest in brand storytelling and shaped her decision to pursue marketing as a career. After earning her degree, she plans to pursue an MBA and eventually open her own marketing consultancy firm to help businesses communicate with clarity and creativity.

Hailee’s mother has been her greatest source of inspiration. From childhood dance practices to business milestones, her mother’s support and example have shaped Hailee’s work ethic and passion. She taught her the importance of staying kind, staying focused, and believing that no dream is too small.

When she’s not studying or running her business, Hailee loves to bake. She often experiments with recipes like sourdough, bagels, and her signature lemon blueberry cookies. This rewarding hobby that brings her joy and reminds her to slow down and celebrate small moments.

Being named one of Barton’s 25 Under 25 is an honor that reminds Hailee of how far she has come. It represents not only her achievements, but also her resilience and gratitude for the Barton community that has helped her grow. Her story embodies what it means to make bold choices, to learn through experience, and to lead with heart.
