Kassandra Rodela-Marrero is a finance major whose journey is defined by ambition, service, and gratitude. She chose the Barton School of Business for its leadership opportunities and its focus on applied learning. These are the qualities that she credits with having helped her grow as both a professional and a leader.

Kassandra is an active member of the Student Ambassador Society and the Drawing and Painting Guild, where she builds community through both art and advocacy. She has also served as a teacher at City Life Hispanic Church, helping children and youth build confidence and faith. These experiences have strengthened her leadership and communication skills while reminding her of the value of service.

Her most meaningful college experience has been representing Wichita State through the Student Ambassador Society. Engaging with prospective students and faculty allowed her to contribute to the welcoming spirit that defines the Barton School.

Kassandra is motivated by her parents, who immigrated to the United States to build a better life. Their sacrifice and resilience inspire her to take every opportunity seriously and work with gratitude for the path they made possible.

After graduation, Kassandra plans to build a career in finance that helps individuals and businesses make strategic decisions. She hopes to be a trusted advisor who combines analytical skills with empathy and service.

Being recognized as one of Barton’s 25 Under 25 is a deep honor for Kassandra as it represents her dedication, growth, and the spirit of giving back.
