Annie Scoggin is a digital storyteller who blends creativity with data informed strategy. She chose the Barton School for its hands on learning and supportive community, and she majored in Digital Marketing because it allows her to pair visual craft with measurable results. Rudd Scholars and Beta Gamma Sigma have provided mentorship and a network of peers who share her drive to learn, build, and contribute.
One of Annie’s most meaningful experiences was serving as a Social Media intern with Sporting Kansas City. Classroom projects and marketing fundamentals from Barton prepared her to step into a professional environment with confidence. The internship confirmed her passion for capturing energy, telling stories that connect, and translating brand voice into campaigns that perform. It also showed her how planning, research, and analytics inform creative choices.
Annie’s involvement on campus reflects that same balance of curiosity and commitment. She values organizations that invest in students and in community, and she credits a series of mentors with encouraging her to stretch, take on responsibility, and keep elevating her work. Their guidance has helped her develop habits that compound over time, from goal setting and feedback to reflection and refinement.
After graduation, Annie plans to pursue roles in sports that combine digital marketing and photography. She enjoys working where momentum matters and where audiences respond to authenticity. Baking is her favorite way to unwind and experiment, a personal detail that mirrors the patience and iteration she brings to creative projects.
Being named to Barton’s 25 Under 25 is meaningful to Annie because it recognizes the hours behind the scenes and the growth that comes from saying yes to opportunity. The honor motivates her to keep learning and to raise the bar on what is possible. Her advice to high school seniors is to get involved, try new things, and make the most of every chance that comes your way. That philosophy captures Annie’s approach to college and to her career. It reflects a spirit that is curious, collaborative, and determined to make a positive impact.
