Overview
Chinonye Otuonye is a senior at Wichita State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Mathematics, graduating in May 2026. She is a distinguished Rudd Scholar and recipient of multiple honors, including the Dean’s Honor Roll, the Heritage Merit Scholarship, and the Cari Schmidt Clayton Scholarship.
Chinonye brings a unique blend of technical, financial, and leadership experience to her work. As a Finance Defense/Special Missions Intern at Textron Aviation, she conducted more than 480 labor audits, streamlined financial reporting, and automated pricing and cost models, significantly improving efficiency. At the National Institute for Aviation Research, she contributed to Project Beluga, developing advanced 3D structural models for the C-130 Hercules aircraft restoration project.
Her leadership extends beyond finance—she has served as a Manager at DoubleTree’s Chisholm’s Restaurant and founded One Person’s Marketing, a creative agency where she designed over 300 custom branding materials and led client campaigns.
Chinonye aspires to apply her analytical, technical, and creative strengths in corporate finance or consulting. A dedicated community volunteer, she contributes to organizations such as the American Red Cross and League 42. She believes service not only benefits others but renews her own motivation and purpose.
