Overview
Elgin Earl Jr. is a sophomore at Wichita State University pursuing a double major in Business Administration and Finance. He is passionate about business, finance, entrepreneurship, and professional development, with a particular interest in building a career that combines strategic decision-making, leadership, and innovation.
At Wichita State, Elgin is actively involved in student leadership and professional development. He serves in the Student Government Association as the Director of Professional Opportunities, where he works to connect students with career development resources, professional opportunities, and campus partners. He is also involved with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Upsilon Chapter, where he contributes to chapter operations, leadership, and community engagement. In addition, Elgin serves as a mentor/tutor with the GEAR UP program, supporting students through academic and personal development.
Elgin has developed professional experience across sales, customer service, business operations, and entrepreneurship. These experiences have strengthened his communication, leadership, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills while giving him a broader understanding of how organizations operate and create value.
His short-term goal is to gain internship experience in finance, business development, or sports business while continuing to expand his professional network and skill set. Long term, Elgin aspires to build a career in business and finance, with interests in entrepreneurship, strategic management, and the sports industry.
Outside of academics and professional pursuits, Elgin enjoys modeling, fitness, basketball, content creation, entrepreneurship, and giving back to his community. He is committed to continuous growth and looks forward to using every opportunity to learn, build meaningful relationships, and create an impact.
