Overview
Abraham Lakey is a sophomore at Wichita State University. He is majoring in International Business with a minor in Marketing. Ever since he was young, he loved languages. He studied them since he hit double digits. From Swahili to Russian, he’s gained exposure to countless languages and is certified intermediate in both German and French.
As of last year, he has joined numerous clubs and organizations. The American Marketing Association, for example, focuses on giving students experience in the field as they work as a team to solve problems for real businesses as well as taking them on different tours of companies. He also is a part of the International Business Students Association, practicing proper etiquette at the table while introducing him to industry heads.
Currently, he’s looking to study abroad in the upcoming semesters. He knows that this is an invaluable opportunity to see other countries and cultures and wants nothing more than for a chance to connect with more people from around the globe. Currently, he has his eye on Europe and Korea but no matter where he lands, he’s eager to learn the language, the manners, the culture, and the people of the country.
