Overview
Marysol Montiel is pursing degrees in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, and International Business with an expected graduation date of December 2026. Through her college experience, she has focused on developing skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and organization through both academic and community based experiences. She participated in the Barton Business Challenge, where her team earned third place while working collaboratively to analyze business problems, develop solutions, and present their ideas to executive board members.
Marysol has also been involved in several fundraising initiatives benefiting the Wichita Children’s Home. Alongside her team, she helped organize and carry out fundraising eMorts that raised more than $2,000 for the nonprofit organization. Through these experiences, she developed stronger organizational and leadership skills while learning to coordinate with others, manage responsibilities, and work to a shared goal. With these experiences, they have shaped her interest in building a career where she can continue to build connections in the community, taking new challenges, and apply her business education in a professional environment.
Outside of school and work, Marysol enjoys traveling and learning about cultures, histories, and communities of the places she visits. She values opportunities to experience new environments and understand diMerent perspectives. As she approaches graduation, she looks forward to continuing to grow professionally while using her education, experiences, and interest in people to contribute to an organization.
