Tanvir Arfi was named the Barton School’s Spring 2023 Executive-in-Residence. Residents provide Barton School students, faculty and the Wichita community with vital perspectives and knowledge from industry leaders.
Tanvir is the founder, Chairman & CEO of Banyan Tech Group, a B2B Services & Software focused company, which he launched in 2018 after a successful career as a CEO of mid-cap public & PE owned companies.
Previously, Tanvir was President at Solera Holdings (NYSE: SLH) where he worked on Solera’s $6.5 Billion public to private transaction in 2016. Before that, Tanvir was the CEO of Robert Bosch’s Service Solutions division that was created after he led the $1.3B carve out of SPX’s (NYSE: SPW) auto division which he also led as Group President.
Tanvir is an alum of the College of Engineering at Wichita State, earning a master’s
degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1995. Tanvir is a certified Lean Enterprise and
Six Sigma Expert; an American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Reliability Engineer;
a Certified Malcolm Baldrige Examiner. Tanvir serves on several industry boards including
the nation’s leading Autism Education & Therapy provider ACES, and chairs the YPO
Automotive Network, a global group with over 2,200 CEO members. Tanvir is an auto
enthusiast (60s American Muscle); a Harley rider; and a licensed private pilot. He
previously lived in India, Kuwait, China and currently lives with his family in the
greater Dallas area.
