Overview
Omer is a Founding General Partner at The Garage, where he plays a central role in
shaping
the fund’s investment strategy, bringing in high-conviction opportunities, and supporting
portfolio companies through their growth journey. He is deeply involved in the Israeli
venture
ecosystem, working closely with founders, co-investors, and strategic partners, and
actively
participates in the fund’s investment decision-making, portfolio development, and
value-
creation initiatives.
He brings an exceptional blend of senior military leadership, strategic expertise,
and
investment experience. Omer served for over 15 years in an elite unit within Israel’s
special
intelligence forces, concluding his tenure as Deputy Commander.
He later commanded a techno-operational unit within the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office
and
completed 23 years of distinguished service as a strategic consultant to Unit 8200,
holding the
rank of Colonel. Throughout his military career, Omer operated at the highest levels
of national
security, overseeing complex, high-stakes operations and large-scale organizational
leadership.
Omer holds an Executive MBA from the prestigious Kellogg-Recanati Program at Tel Aviv
University, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Security and Strategy for Global
Leaders, a
joint program of the Royal College of Defence Studies and King’s College London.
Omer uniquely combines operational discipline, strategic foresight, and deep ecosystem
connectivity, making him a key leader in building and scaling The Garage’s investment
platform.
On a personal level, Omer is married to Talya and is a father of two children, along
with a family
dog. They live in a moshav in central Israel.
