Overview

Eyal is a Founding General Partner at The Garage, where he plays a key role in shaping the fund’s investment strategy, sourcing high-conviction opportunities, and supporting portfolio companies across their growth journey. He is deeply involved in the Israeli venture ecosystem, working closely with founders, coinvestors, and strategic partners, and actively participates in investment decisionmaking, portfolio development, and value-creation initiatives.

Eyal served for 21 years in the IDF and within the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office special intelligence units, gaining extensive experience in international relations, negotiation, and complex operational problem-solving. He concluded his military career as a Lieutenant Colonel and Deputy Commander of the IDF’s Special Operations Department, leading strategic planning efforts and overseeing mission-critical execution at the highest levels.

Following his military retirement in 2020, Eyal founded MJAY, a boutique advisory firm specializing in preparing Israeli startup C-level executives for effective business engagement within Anglo business culture, supporting leadership teams in international positioning, communication, and deal dynamics.

Eyal holds a B.A. in Geography from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Ben-Gurion University, combining strategic insight with real-world leadership experience.

On a personal level, Eyal is married to Tal and is the father of three boys. He also has two dogs and lives in southern Israel.
