Overview
Katherine (Kat) Brewster is an Academic Advisor in the College of Engineering, supporting students in the Computer Science and Cybersecurity programs. She earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Emporia State University in 2021 and a master's degree in Academic Advising from Kansas State University in 2024.

Kat is passionate about helping students navigate their academic journeys and achieve their goals. She believes advising is a collaborative partnership in which students and advisors work together to make informed decisions and create meaningful pathways toward academic and career success. In addition to assisting with academic planning, Kat works closely with students to connect their educational experiences with their personal, professional, and career aspirations. She is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel valued, encouraged, and empowered to explore opportunities that align with their interests, strengths, and future goals.
