Overview

Josh Duncan is a Wichita State University alumnus and current graduate student pursuing a Master of Business Administration. His professional career spans more than two decades across audio engineering, film production, business operations, and higher education.

Josh began his creative journey in 2005 in audio engineering, focusing on studio recording and live production before transitioning into the film and video industry around 2010. Since then, he has built extensive experience supporting commercial, corporate, broadcast, and creative productions. As the head of operations for a film equipment rental and production support company, he works closely with production teams, cinematographers, and creative professionals to provide technical expertise and equipment solutions for projects throughout the region and beyond.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, Josh brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to leadership and collaboration. His background in both creative production and business management has shaped his passion for problem-solving, relationship building, and connecting classroom concepts with real-world applications.

At Wichita State University, Josh is excited to contribute his professional experience while continuing his own educational journey. He enjoys mentoring others, supporting hands-on learning opportunities, and helping students explore the intersection of creativity, technology, and business.

Outside of work and school, Josh enjoys camping and boating with his wife, Carly, and their three children.
