Amanda Vanausdall earned both her Bachelor’s and Master of Music Education degrees in Special Music Education from Wichita State University, where she also obtained her OAKE Kodály certification. From 2013 to 2022, she taught K–5 elementary music in Wichita Public Schools and now teaches K-8 adaptive music within the district. She also serves as Assistant Educator of Music Education and Placement Coordinator for the School of Music at Wichita State University.
Amanda holds leadership roles in several professional organizations, including Special Needs Co-Chair for the Kansas Music Educators Association, Member-at-Large for the Midwest Kodály Music Educators Association, and member of the Equity Committee for the Organization of American Kodály Educators. Her work focuses on inclusive music education and advocacy for students with diverse learning needs.
She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wichita State University.
