Overview
Jill Sadowsky graduated from the McDuffie School for Girls in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1973 and spent two years studying at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She later transferred to the University of Kansas, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1978 and a Master of Business Administration in 1983.
In 1977, Jill married Tom Docking, who served as Lieutenant Governor of Kansas from 1983 to 1987. Together, they raised two children, Brian and Margery, and are grandparents to four grandchildren: Charlotte, Jane, Meredith, and Thomas. Tom passed away August 24, 2017, but his legacy lives on in the work of all those he mentored - including his wife and children.
Jill began her professional career in 1988 with A.G. Edwards. She founded the Docking Group and currently works alongside her son Brian and a dedicated team of professionals at RW Baird Private Wealth Management.
Jill is deeply committed to civic and philanthropic leadership and currently serves on several boards, including the Kansas Health Foundation; the Executive Boards of KU Endowment and KU Medical Center–Wichita; Southwestern College; and as Chair of the Hall Center for the Humanities.
