Overview

Mr. Claudio Ferraro first served at Via Christi Health in 1992 as an operations manager for
Medi-Dyn (a third party organization contracted to manage environmental and laundry
services for what was then St. Francis Regional Medical Center). He officially became
employed at St. Francis in 1993, and has served in a variety of leadership roles throughout his
30 year tenure with Ascension Via Christi.

Mr. Ferraro gained a wide variety of leadership experience and expertise serving in various
clinical support and ministry leadership roles serving as chief of staff for Via Christi Health
and president for both the St. Joseph and St. Teresa Hospital ministries and as senior
administrator of Via Christi Health’s Clinical Practice Committee and is currently serving as
the chief operating officer of Ascension Medical Group Via Christi. Mr. Ferraro has also held
senior leadership roles in various clinical service lines and imaging across all Wichita
Ministries.

As an administrative leader for the past 30 years, Mr. Ferraro has overseen the development
of clinical programs, service line expansions, strategic planning and marketing, human
resources and operational leadership.

Mr. Ferraro has been a Board Member on numerous community boards and is currently
actively serving on the Ascension Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital Board, Kansas Hospital
Association’s HealthWorKS Board and on Kapaun Mt. Carmel’s School Board. Mr. Ferraro
received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University in
1991 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Benedictine College.

In addition to serving on community Boards, Mr. Ferraro is active with the Diocese of
Wichita in leading marriage preparation for the Diocese’s Catholic Engaged Encounter – a
ministry that prepares more than 600 couples annually for marriage. Mr. Ferraro is married
to Mary Elizabeth (Beth) and they have four children together, three daughters, one son and
two granddaughters.
