Overview
Dustin is the MRO Director of Operations. His key responsibilities include overseeing all operational aspects of the aircraft maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul facility. His mission is to ensure the organization delivers safe, compliant, and efficient services to customers such as airlines, private operators, military entities, or OEMs.
With over 25 years of progressive experience in the aerospace industry, he has built a reputation for aligning people, processes, and technology to drive operational excellence. Skilled in shaping and executing organizational vision, cultivating strong cross-functional partnerships, and building high-performing teams, he is known for his ability to translate complex challenges into practical, sustainable solutions. His deep cross-functional knowledge—spanning production operations, manufacturing engineering, methods, materials, product development, and MRO—has consistently contributed to proven operational success across multiple aircraft platforms.
Dustin first worked as an aircraft technician at Cessna, Textron Aviation. His technical foundation and natural leadership abilities quickly propelled him into operational leadership roles supporting a range of aircraft programs. With a strong instinct for strategic and technical growth, he transitioned into the Manufacturing Engineering organization, specializing in new product development, industrialization, and ERP system implementation. This experience broadened his understanding of how product strategy, engineering, and production systems converge to enable successful aircraft programs. Motivated by a passion for development and innovation, Dustin advanced to Bombardier Learjet supporting the company within the Methods Engineering department. His tenure at Bombardier opened the door to significant leadership responsibilities, including managing operations, methods, materials, and development across diverse areas such as production, completions, flight test, new product introduction, refurbishment, and part manufacturing. His ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary environments further solidified his reputation as a versatile and forward-thinking operational leader. Across his career, he has supported and led a wide range of programs, including the Cessna CJ Series, Sovereign, XLS, Beechjet 400, Learjet 75 and 85, Challenger series, CSeries, and Global series fleet. Additionally, he has contributed to part manufacturing initiatives at Learjet, Bombardier QAR, Textron Aviation Pawnee, and Textron Aerospace Mexico.
Dustin later expanded his impact at NIAR, where he contributed to the creation and growth of the organization’s MRO business. The role aligned directly with his passion for developing new capabilities and his accumulated expertise in operations, engineering, and product support. As Director of Operations, he led in the maturation of the MRO organization, positioning it for long-term success and industry relevance. Dustin’s journey reflects a commitment to continuous improvement, strategic development, and operational leadership—qualities that have allowed him to make meaningful contributions to every organization and program he has supported.
