Talent Search offers the After School Tutoring Program, 3:30-6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday in Grace Wilkie Annex 163. For more information, contact stephanie.haynes@wichita.edu.

Ismail Saeed
Tutor (ASTP)
Ismail is a freshman at Wichita State University and a TRIO Talent Search alumn who graduated from East High School. He recently won the 2025 Poetry Out Loud State Competition and went on to compete in the national finals in Washington, DC in May 2025.

Adan Contreras

Adan is an undergraduate student at Wichita State majoring in physics. He is also a TRIO Talent Search alumn who plans to attend graduate school.

Shanmuka Rudra Thirumalaisamy
Tutor (Southeast High School, Curtis Middle School)
Shan is a TRIO Talent Search alumna from Southeast High School, currently studying computer science at Wichita State. In high school, Shan was honored with several awards, including Student of the Quarter, Honor Roll, and the Southeast Royalty Award. She was also a member of Student Government, the Multi-Cultural Club, and Buffs at Work.

Braeden Miller
Student Assistant
Profile: Braeden is a TRIO Talent Search alumn from North High School, currently majoring in psychology and applied linquistics at Wichita State. Braeden has been on the Dean's Honor Roll and has been active in the FYRE in STEM program, Freshman Leadership Council, Pyschology Club, and Student Government Association. He was a Freshman of the Year finalist and won first place in Humanities and Social Sciences during the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) in 2024. Braeden is the president of the Psychology Club and a member of the Student Senate.
