University departments who require interpreting services for an event/program will be charged for services by the Office of Student Accommodations and Testing (OSAT). This is the breakdown of costs:

M – F from 8 am – 5pm = $57 per hour
Evenings (after 5pm) and Weekends = $62 per hour

- Faculty who require interpreting services will need to contact Human Resources for accommodations.

- If a fee-paying student is, Deaf, registered with OSAT and needs to attend an event for a class as a curricular requirement then OSAT will provide an interpreter for that specific student.

Fees for Services

Sign Language Interpreting Services (SLIS)

Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

$47.00/hour with a 2 hour minimum.

After 5 p.m. and / or Weekends

$52.00/hour with a 2 hour min.

We require a 24-hour notice for all cancellations. If 24 hours is not given; we will bill for the entire class time or a 2-hour min, whichever is greater.

If an assignment is more than 1.5 hours, 2 interpreters will be required.

Boklund Interpreting Services (BIS)

Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

$60.00/hour with a 2 hour minimum

After 5 p.m. and / or Weekends

$70.00/hour with a 2 hour min.

We require a 24-hour notice for all cancellations. If 24 hours is not given; we will bill for the entire class time or a 2-hour min, whichever is greater.

If an assignment is more than 1.5 hours, 2 interpreters will be required.

Please note

Theatrical performances will be billed at a fixed rate.
$10/hr. fee if requested less than 48 hrs. prior to the assignment.
