Services are provided (at no charge) to all participants accepted by the TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers Program.

All participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Be at least 19 years of age or older.
  • Reside in the City of Wichita or Sedgwick County.
  • Have not earned a Bachelor's degree.

Priority provided to individuals who:

  • Have limited income.
  • Have parents who have not yet earned a Bachelor's degree.

The following are strongly encouraged to apply: Displaced workers, underemployed workers, veterans, military connected persons, women, ethnic minorities and individuals with disabilities.

Military Connected Persons

Our Military Connection provides a unique opportunity for military connected persons ages 19 and over to gain access to information about college and acquire the academic skills needed for successful entry into education beyond high school.

Technical Assistance will be provided to service members, spouses, children, parents, grandparents, siblings, family members and friends of those serving in our military in various stages of deployment, whose service members are from all branches of the Armed Forces including active and reserve components from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. All applicants must meet EOC Program eligibility guidelines.
