Frequently Asked Questions
How do I order an eDiploma?
- You will receive an email at your @shockers.wichita.edu address from the Michael Sutter Company (ediploma@michaelsutter.com) containing the Secure ID that you will need to complete the order of your eDiploma.
- Emails containing the Secure ID will be sent on these dates following a student’s graduation semester: February 8 (fall), July 1 (spring), September 8 (summer). If the email date falls on a weekend or holiday, the email will be sent the next business day.
- Your Secure ID safely and securely identifies you in our eDiploma vendor system.
- You will receive an email with a unique Secure ID for each credential that you earn (certificate, associate, bachelor's, etc.)
- Once you have your Secure ID, you may order via the link provided in the email. You may also visit the diploma vendor site to enter your Secure ID and order your WSU eDiploma.

I lost my Secure ID – what do I do?
- If you cannot find your Secure ID, you may visit our Online eDiploma Service to request the Secure ID that is needed to order the eDiploma.
- Click on the “Request a Secure ID” button, complete the form, and then click on the "Submit My Diploma Request" button.
- Be sure to specify the credential for which you are requesting a Secure ID (certificate, associate, bachelor’s, etc.)
- You will receive an email with the Secure ID within two business days.

Will I still receive a paper diploma?
- Yes, you will still receive a paper diploma at no cost.
- Purchasing an eDiploma is optional and is not required to receive your paper diploma.
- Students cannot receive a free eDiploma in lieu of a free paper diploma.
Can I order an eDiploma if I have hold?
- Students with outstanding financial or other obligations to the University, with limited exceptions consistent with state and federal laws, will not be able to order an eDiploma until the hold is resolved.
- Students with a hold will receive an email from diplomastatus@michaelsutter.com notifying them of their hold(s).

Who do I contact with questions about my eDiploma?
- Questions pertaining to ordering your eDiploma, requesting your Secure ID, and general eDiploma information may be emailed to diplomas@wichita.edu.
- Questions pertaining to technical issues with the eDiploma or issues encountered while placing orders on the Michael Sutter website may be emailed to ediploma@michaelsutter.com.
Can I print my eDiploma?
- By design, printing of your eDiploma is disabled.
- A self-printed copy of your eDiploma cannot be verified and should not be accepted as proof of your degree by employers and other institutions.
