Shocktoberfest

Shocktoberfest has been Wichita State’s annual fall celebration of Shocker Spirit and Pride since 1991. This multi-day series features events, activities, and competitions coordinated by the office of Student Engagement, Advocacy & Leadership with support from the Student Activities Council and several campus partners. This year, competing student organizations will collect points by attending and participating in specific events throughout the week for their chance to win the Shocktoberfest Trophy and cash prizes.

WU’S BIRTHDAY BASH*       Celebrate with Wu on his 75th Birthday! Wu’s Birthday Bash features music, games, giveaways, and an opportunity to get your photo taken with Wu.
         
         
PUMPKIN RUN 5K & 1K LITTLE RUN      Wichita State Main Campus Time to put some sneakers on and join us for a 5k on the beautiful Wichita State campus! Pumpkin Run participants receive an event t-shirt and finisher medal, awards are given to the top age group finishers and overall winners. DINE WITH THE DEANS *       This event is an opportunity for students to drop by and meet their college Deans while enjoying a light continental lunch. *While supplies last
         
         
         
         
TRUNK OR TREAT *       Trunk or Treat is an event for families and kids of all ages to interact with Wichita State University student organizations, campus departments, and community partners by participating in a fun and safe-alternative to traditional trick or treating! A variety of activities, crafts, and treats for all!
SONGFEST       Songfest is an annual dance and lip sync competition that completes Shocktoberfest Week. Teams have been practicing for months and are ready to wow you with choreography, music selections and costumes. Share in the spirit of Shocktoberfest, support talented Shockers and spend the night singing along to these great acts.
