Passage 2 Success (P2S) is a week-long retreat for incoming freshmen to help in their transition to Wichita State University! The purpose of this retreat is to connect with other incoming students, meet current student leaders, explore Wichita and gain the skills and tools to be socially and academically successful.

This program will be hosted the week before classes begin.

Dates: Aug. 9 - 13, 2026
Program Fee: $50 (paid at registration) + $75 course fee (charged to student account)

Registration: Opens May 1, 2026

Earn College Credit
...as easy as 1-2-3!

Not only does Passage 2 Success introduce you to the available resources on campus, you will be enrolled into Ready, Set, Lead!, a three-credit hour college course connected to the program. This course is an introduction to core skills needed to be a successful leader.

In this course, students will explore aspects of critical thinking, financial literacy, problem solving, professionalism and leadership through application of training, engagement and real-world experiences. This course is provided at a lower cost of $75. This course fee will be applied to your student account, upon completion of Passage 2 Success.

This course is required for all particpants of the program and opportunities for scholarships are available. Students interested in a potential scholarship should reach out to Caitlin Nolen for more information and details. Students are subject to incur additional fees associated with this college course.

Registration Fee and Deadline

Registration for Passage 2 Success is $50. Payment for this program will be collected at registration.

The program fee includes all costs associated with Passage 2 Success excluding the course fee which is applied to your student account upon completion of the program. Students participating in Passage 2 Success must have completed Freshman Orientation by August 3rd.

Registraton closes on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11:59 pm. Spots are open until the program is full, capping at 100 participants. If you completed an application and paid the program fee, but are not given a spot, your fee will be fully refunded.

Cancellation Details:

If selected, the last date to cancel your program registration for a 50% refund is Friday, July 31st by 11:59pm. No refunds will be issued after July 31st. If you are no longer able to attend Passage 2 Success, please contact Caitlin Nolen, P2S Program Coordinator by emailing caitlin.nolen@wichita.edu. Please include your name, myWSU ID and order number (if applicable).
