Wichita State to unveil 2026 Kansas Economic Forecast

Sept. 30, 2025 — The Center for Economic Development and Business Research at Wichita State University invites media to attend the Kansas Economic Outlook Conference from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 at the Century II Convention Center.

Memorial commemorating 1970 WSU plane crash set for Oct. 2

Sept. 29, 2025 - The 55th annual remembrance of Memorial ’70 will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, at the memorial sculpture at the university entrance at Memorial Drive and Hillside (18th and Hillside).

Sept. 17, 2025 – Wichita State’s Marco Hernandez has been named 2025 Kansas Board of Regents Faculty of the Year. He was recognized during an event on Sept. 17 in Topeka.

NIAR research programs named as finalists for prestigious composites awards

Aug. 27, 2025 — Several groundbreaking manufacturing research programs from Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) have been named finalists for the industry’s top honors by the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) and the American Composites Manufacturers Association’s (ACMA) Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE).
