Aug. 26, 2020 -- Wichita State University has been named a founding member of a newly formed AI Institute for Foundations of Machine Learning (IMFL), established by a $20 million grant from the National Science Foundation.

Aug. 26, 2020 -- The Wichita State University Opera Theater will present "A Cosi Concert" on the grounds of the WSU amphitheater (behind Duerksen Fine Arts Center on the WSU campus) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10.

Aug. 24, 2020 —  Building a stronger, more  profound  connection between the W ichita State main campus and its Innovation Campus,  the university  is proposing  the creation of   a  privately funded  elevated   p edestrian  bridge  that will span more than 300 feet across the pond   west of   Wayne and Kay  Woolsey Hall, which is scheduled  to break ground  later this year.   

Aug. 14, 2020 -- Thursday the Sedgwick County Commission took a giant step forward against the spread of COVID-19 by partnering with Wichita State University’s new Molecular Diagnostic Lab (MDL) to increase lab testing capacity for nasopharyngeal swab testing and saliva testing.

Aug. 11, 2020 — The city of Wichita’s transit department will be assuming operations of the Shocker bus service beginning Aug. 17. There will be a total of four Wichita State University routes, beginning Aug. 17.
