May 24, 2019 -- Wichita State University announces project funding for two major advanced manufacturing projects. Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) awarded funding for Automation Manufacturing – Technicians for the Future, and America Makes awarded funding for a project focused on overcoming the performance limitations and degradation of additive manufacturing (AM) polymer materials when subjected harsh environments.

May 22, 2019 - Four Wichita State University aerospace engineering students have placed seventh in NASA’s Student Launch Initiative (SLI) competition. The team designed, built and launched a rocket to complete a simulated Moon mission.

May 15, 2019 -- Wichita State University is requesting approval for a 1% tuition increase, which would be WSU’s lowest tuition percentage increase in at least 30 years. The increase amounts to $34 more a semester for an undergraduate taking 15 hours of courses, paying in-state tuition.

May 15, 2019 -- A device for the visually impaired has won the student Koch Innovation Challenge, held at Wichita State University.

May 14, 2019 -- Teamed with the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center, Wichita State University’s FirePoint Innovations Center is collaborating with industry, educational institutions and Department of Defense partners to help Army researchers develop technologies and deliver new capabilities to Army warfighters.
