WSU announces fall 2022 commencement schedule, speaker

Dec. 12, 2022 — Almost 1,300 students are eligible to participate in Wichita State University’s 125th fall commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 in Charles Koch Arena. Media are welcome to attend.

Wichita State's MDL extends free triple-virus testing through March 2023

Dec. 12, 2022 — Just in time for the surge of respiratory illnesses flooding the state, Wichita State University’s Molecular Diagnostics Lab has announced it will extend free RSV, influenza and COVID (RIC) testing through March 31, 2023.

Wichita State focuses on serving students as it reaches Emerging Hispanic Serving Institution status

Dec. 5, 2022 — Wichita State University earned status as an Emerging Hispanic Serving Institution when fall enrollment numbers show that 16% of students identify as Hispanic. That is an important milestone on the way to the university’s goal of reaching the 25% necessary to earn the federal government’s designation as an HSI by the end of this decade.

Willard Garvey, Garvey family named recipients of Kansas CCIM Chapter / WSU Center for Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award

Nov. 16, 2022 — Willard Garvey and the Garvey family have been named the 2022 recipients of the Kansas CCIM Chapter / WSU Center for Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award. This honor is given annually to those who have made a significant contribution to the commercial real estate and/or development industry in Wichita over a long period of time.

Wichita State earns APLU designation as an Innovation & Economic Prosperity institution

Nov. 7, 2022 — In recognition of its strong commitment to economic engagement, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) has designated Wichita State University as an Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) University.
