Jan. 10, 2022 — Dr. Bobby Berry has been named assistant dean for diversity and outreach for the College of Applied Studies at Wichita State University.

Jan. 7, 2022 — The Wichita Entrepreneurial Coalition has received a nationally competitive Build to Scale Venture Challenge award from the United States Economic Development Administration. The grant, one of only 50 awarded across the country, is designed to fuel a national movement promoting high-growth enterprises and unique startups 

Jan. 5, 2022 -- Because of forecasted extreme cold, Wichita State’s Molecular Diagnostics Lab (MDL) is temporarily halting COVID-19 specimen collection. The MDL drive-thru specimen collection will remain open until 6 p.m. today (Jan. 5) but will be closed for drive-thru specimen collection Thursday, Jan. 6 reopening specimen collection on Friday, Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. MDL will remain open for Community Collection Partner specimen drop-offs both days 6am-6pm. All tests results will come back in 24 hours.

Dec. 15, 2021 — The U.S. Economic Development Association recently awarded Wichita State University and South Kansas $500,000 to Build Back Better with the potential opportunity for a Phase 2 award of $25-75 million.

Dec. 14, 2021 - Arts at Wichita State University benefit the city and state in ways that range from tourism to education to mental wellness. It’s this impact on the community that Wichita State's Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR), part of the W. Frank Barton School of Business, is attempting to measure in its Arts and Culture Impact Analysis for 2021.
