Dec 15, 2015 — By WSU News Services — The state of Kansas has 27 paychecks paid in calendar year 2015, because of the timing of the Legislative approved holidays for calendar year 2015-16 and the pay dates. Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, is an approved holiday for State of Kansas employees, and falls on a payday, Friday.
