March 30, 2020 - The relationship between Wichita State's College of Engineering and the Wichita Police Department led to 3D printing of face shields used by first responders.

March 28, 2020 -- An effort to provide fabric masks to health care workers and first responders during the COVID-19 crisis is under way through a collaboration with Wichita State University’s makerspace – GoCreate, a Koch collaborative – and Bella Bonita Designs, a local fashion company.

Feb. 26, 2020 -- Wichita State University and WSU Ventures have entered into a new strategic partnership with California-based Lightning Diversion Systems, a Ducommun Company. The partnership involves the exclusive licensing of a lightning strike protection system for rotor blades in the wind turbine industry.

Feb. 3, 2020 -- Levente Sulyok, associate professor of painting and drawing in the School of Art, Design and Creative Industries, installed two temporary, dynamic sculptures on Wichita State’s Innovation Campus.

Jan. 23, 2020 - Wichita State graduate Marcus Wright used his applied learning experiences at the student newspaper and with the athletic department to start his career in digital media. After a season with MLB Advanced Media, he returned to Wichita State and works on photo and video for the athletic department.

Dec. 5, 2019 -- The National Science Foundation (NSF) has released updated rankings for university research and development (R&D) expenditures, and Wichita State has held its position as the top university in the country for industry-funded aeronautical R&D with a total of $39 million in fiscal year 2018.
