May 31, 2019 -- Coleen Pugh, a professor of Polymer Science at the University of Akron (Ohio), has been named the new dean of the Wichita State University Graduate School and associate vice president for Research and Technology Transfer, effective July 28.

April 15, 2019 -- Brady Hatter sees the university campus as a giant garden. And every garden, he says, is a potential gallery in need of art. This Earth Day, Hatter will make his latest artistic contribution to the Wichita State canvas when his Earth Pod west of the Woodman Alumni Center is dedicated as part of the Earth Day Picnic at the Pod from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, April 22.

Feb. 26, 2019 -- Two Wichita State Public Health Sciences faculty members are focusing their research on health equity for women in Kansas. The researchers have been approved for a $250,000 Engagement Award for their project “Women Involved Network (WIN for Kansas): Community Collaboration to Create Health Equity.”

Feb. 26, 2019 -- Remi Chou, an assistant professor in electrical engineering and computer science at Wichita State, has received a two-year, $156,000 grant from the National Science Foundation for research to ensure secure transfer of confidential information over wireless networks.
