Sept. 9, 2019 -- Textron Aviation, a Textron Inc. company, has made a commitment of $300,000 to support Wichita State University's Division of Diversity and Community Engagement efforts.

July 30, 2019 -- Wichita State University and Textron Aviation, a Textron Inc. company, have announced the next step in ongoing collaboration efforts to develop the future of the aviation industry and next generation of employees when the company signed a long-term lease at the Wichita State Innovation Campus.

June 28, 2019 -- Wichita State students are spending their summer helping the city use its data and share it across departments. The experiences researching, organizing and cataloguing the information are amplifying their classroom lessons in areas ranging from software to teamwork, trust and communication.

April 16, 2019 -- Ryan Kendall, a senior from Pelham, Alabama, is a computer science major who took the long route to Wichita State’s Selected Team. He didn’t make the team as a freshman and spent the past two seasons on the Developmental Team. Wichita State coach Gordon Vadakin estimates around 10 percent of the bowlers who don’t make the team in their early years continue to try out for a spot on the Selected Team.

April 8, 2019 -- Delta Air Lines is No. 1, and JetBlue is No. 2, according to the 29th annual Airline Quality Rating (AQR), released today, Monday, April 8. The AQR is the most comprehensive study of performance and quality of the largest airlines in the United States. The rating is a multifactor examination of the airlines based on mishandled baggage, consumer complaints, on-time performance and involuntary denied boardings.

March 22, 2019 -- Wichita State University has received a $2 million grant contract from the U.S. Economic Development Association to develop and demonstrate advanced composite material manufacturing technology.

March 16, 2019 -- The Help Hangar partnership at Textron Aviation shows how Wichita State’s applied learning model works for students and industry. The Help Hangar was introduced in 2017 as a service to assist employees with a variety of IT-related issues. Instead of explaining your issue over the phone, an on-site Help Hangar representative meets with you directly to diagnose the issue, resolve it in the room, or puts you in touch with the correct support team to help you with your issue.

Feb. 26, 2019 -- Remi Chou, an assistant professor in electrical engineering and computer science at Wichita State, has received a two-year, $156,000 grant from the National Science Foundation for research to ensure secure transfer of confidential information over wireless networks.

Jan. 25, 2019 -- Meet Blane 'Deadly' Steckline, the Damage Per Second player for the Wichita State Overwatch team. In addition to being a junior computer science major, Blane is also a Grandmaster-tier Overwatch player, reached rank #64 on the North American server, and has competitive gaming experience at a semi-professional level.

Nov. 7, 2018 -- Wichita State student Jimmy Vu, a computer science major, has been interning with Ennovar, WSU's Institute of Emerging Technologies and Market Solutions, as a software developer.

Oct. 25, 2018 -- Only seven months after announcing its collaboration agreement with Wichita State, Spirit AeroSystems has started plans to further expand in WSU's Partnership 2 (P2) building near 17th Street and Oliver.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- The Kansas Board of Regents has approved a new Bachelor of Applied Science in Workforce Leadership and Applied Learning (BAS-WLAL) at Wichita State University.

Sept. 27, 2018 - Zane Storlie, a junior majoring in computer science at Wichita State, has received a $10,000 a year scholarship from High Touch, a Wichita technology company. The scholarship is renewable and honors the memory of Pat Riddle, a WSU alumna and former High Touch employee.

Feb. 8, 2017 - Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has formed a technology partnership with WSU and will lease 3,000 square feet of space near the university's 3DExperience Center in the Experiential Engineering Building.
