End destructive wildfires. Lockheed Martin Skunk Works and the WSU College of Innovation and Design are asking student teams to propose an earlyresponse system for wildfire: from first smoke to first response. Lockheed Martin already builds the helicopters, airlifters, and satellites that work fires once they’re big. Everything before that is the open problem, and it’s an aerospace one: sensing, autonomy, aircraft, and the systems that connect them.

Our challenges are designed to encourage student engagement and create a variety of unique ideas and solutions.
