Additional Information about Challenge Day:

Please bring your own equipment, laptops, extension cord, and power strip. Don't forget batteries, cables, software, etc. We will not have items to loan to teams.

There will be a six foot table and several chairs available for each team to work on their robot. The number of tables for each team depends on the number of teams registered. These tables will be located in the Heskett Center gymnasium in a common area for all teams. The courses will also be located in the Heskett Center gymnasium. There is a large seating area (bleachers) and plenty of room for spectators to wander and view the events.

A designated table will be provided for each team’s Team Display and Team Notebook. In previous years, teams were required to bring their Notebook to the presentation room; however, the 2027 competition will not include a Team Display or a Team Presentation.

For the 2027 Challenge, please keep your Team Notebook at your assigned table at all times. Judges will visit your table directly to conduct the team interview and review your Notebook and supporting materials. This process ensures that judges have full access to your documentation without interruption and allows your team to remain comfortably stationed at your table throughout the evaluation.

Food and drink are not allowed in the gymnasium area. Teams can have food and drink in the area outside the gym on the second floor, and in the lobby area on the first floor. There is also a lobby area in Hubbard Hall (the building just to the west where we have the Awards Ceremony).

After clearing out all equipment and belongings, teams and spectators are welcome to take their seats in Room 208 of Hubbard Hall for the Awards Ceremony. Please remember to be good sports and enjoy a wonderful finale to a great day. All participants are winners! Don't forget your cameras!

Both Awards Ceremony will start with a photo slide show of Challenge Day. Don't miss this media treat to see and re-live some of the best and most "challenging" moments. All awards for the Beginner and Beginner II (3:00 pm - 4:00 pm), Professional (5:00 pm - 6:00 pm) levels will be given at the respective Awards Ceremony. Winning teams will be called to the stage, with their coaches, to receive a LEGO trophy or brick.
