WSU recently revised its academic integrity policy. You can find the university policy here.
As indicated in WSU policy, the instructor of record for each class defines violations of this policy for that class, and determines penalties for violations of this policy. Penalties may include, but are not limited to, a failing grade for an assignment, a failing grade for the course, or administrative withdrawal from the course.
If sanctions are imposed, the instructor must report the incident to Student Conduct and Community Standards. This allows students the formal opportunity to appeal, and allows the university to track repeat offenders.
We want you to succeed at WSU! If you're overwhelmed and tempted to cheat, or if you just don't know whether something is allowed, ask for help.
