The Wichita State University Psychology Department is committed to conducting applied research to enhance psychological science. At our 14 dedicated research laboratories, groups and clinics, faculty members and students work side by side on projects that advance the field of psychology in real and meaningful ways.

With a talented and active faculty providing quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, WSU psychology students develop a solid research orientation and deep connections to the professional community.

Human Factors Distinguished Professor wins the 2020 HFE (Human Factors Ergonomics) Woman of the year award!

Human Factors Professor, Dr. Carryl Baldwin, was awarded the 2020 HFE (Human Factors Ergonomics) Women of the Year award at the recent Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) Conference in Chicago, Illinois. This award recognizes the outstanding contribution made by an individual woman (or team of women, if applicable) to the Human Factors and Ergonomics community through research, academia, and/or service. Congratulations Dr. Carryl Baldwin!

Students attend WSU Academic Resources Conference Training

First and second year psychology graduate students attended the WSU Academic Resources Conference training held on August 15, 2018. The students learned how to be an effective and successful classroom instructor. During the training, the students gained valuable knowledge regarding how to teach a university-level course, how to optimize Blackboard use in the classroom, and WSU policies including Title IX, accessibility, and important student services.
