"Comms in the Community" - an interactive workshop that will bring students into the discussion of how words, tone and audience segmentation dictate the way messages are received by community members. This workshop will be hosted by Ricki Ellison, Vice President of Talent, Workforce, and Community Engagement at the Greater Wichita Partnership. Ricki will walk attendees through a guided discussion about a real-world situation she is currently working on at the Greater Wichita Partnership. Students will learn the importance of language and tone in communication work and see how they can leverage their talent and expertise to make a difference in their own circles.
After the presentation, attendees can mingle, network and enjoy a complimentary treat.
