The Shocker Comeback Program is designed to help you finish what you started—not just for your degree, but for yourself. Returning to complete your education isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about unlocking greater career opportunities, financial stability, and personal fulfillment that comes with achieving your goals. This is a great opportunity for those looking to return and complete their degree!
Key Features of the Program
- Personal Support: You will recieve assistance in identifying your strengths, connecting with peers, tailoring your courses, and preparing for career options.
- Financial Aid Options: You can explore various financial aid options, including scholarships, through our Financial Aid Office to make the most of your available resources.
- Degree Completion Assistance: You may be eligible to receive an Associate of arts degree as you progress in completing your bachelors degree.
- Reactivation Process: Depending on how long you have been away, the program provides guidance on reactivating your account and re-enrolling.
- Success Conversations: You can participate in Success Conversations, which include monthly check-ins with
our OAL Retention Specialist to help you stay on track academically.
How do I apply?
Since you have previously attended Wichita State, you do not need to submit a new application. Instead, simply follow the re-enrollment process based on when you last attended WSU. Please review the instructions that best match your situation.

Shocker Comeback Scholarship
You may be eligible for financial support through the Shocker Comeback Program! This is a one-time financial award, up to $1,000.00 for the Fall 2025 semester if you meet the following criteria:
- You are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the Fall semester
- You are enrolled by August 11
- You are still enrolled by September 15
- Participate in 3 success conversations (once per month during September, October, and November) with the Online & Adult Learner Retention Specialist
Financial support will be distributed after October 6th. If you enroll in fewer than 6 credit hours during the Fall 2025 semester, the award amount will be adjusted based on the number of credit hours taken. This opportunity is available to students whose last semester of enrollment at WSU was in Fall 2024 or earlier.
