Packaging Hold Notice

Our records indicate that your classes for the recent term have ended. However, we received your valid FAFSA form after the end of the term. Because your courses have already ended, we are unable to offer you federal aid for that term at this time.

What does “valid FAFSA” mean?
A valid FAFSA is considered to have a calculated Student Aid Index (SAI) and is not rejected.

Your Next Steps - Enrollment

Fall Term: You may be eligible for federal aid once you are enrolled in Spring or Summer classes.
Spring Term: You may be eligible for Pell Grant once you are enrolled in Summer classes.

Once you are enrolled in the next term, allow up to 3 weeks for your federal aid eligibility to be reviewed and offered to you.

If You Cannot Enroll Due to an Overdue Balance

You have the following options:

Pay your balance to be below $2,000. You can view your balance and make a payment through your myWSU Account within the Student Account Suite.
Set up a payment arrangement. Contact Accounts Receivable for more information.
Apply for a private or alternative loan to cover your past-due balance. You can view lenders that other WSU students have used here:

Important Notes

Pell Grant eligibility requires that you establish academic engagement in all classes included in your Pell Grant offer.
Federal loan eligibility requires successful completion of half-time enrollment. Additionally, the loan must be originated prior to the end of the Spring term.
