Each spring, 17th Street in Wichita transforms into a lively, car-free festival where Wichitans can walk, bike, skate and enjoy the nice weather. It is the perfect opportunity to explore the Shocker Neighborhood and see the area come alive with people, vendors, food trucks and activities.

A high school choir trip to Wichita State put Shocker Nation on the map for Amaya. The Oklahoman found her place as a Shocker, joining Tri Delta sorority and working toward her psychology degree.
