Plains Regional Regatta

Wichita State University’s Shocker Rowing is proud to host the annual Plains Regional Regatta. The regatta will hold races for teams in the Plains area of the United States, providing them with the opportunity to a water race close to home.
The Plains Regatta will be hosting at least 6 teams in 2024: Kansas State University, St. Thomas University, University of Kansas, Oklahoma State University, Washington University, and Wichita State University. With two more teams potentially coming: University of Colorado and St. Louis University.
The teams will be set up to the south of River Vista, in the Delano Park area. Races will start every ten minutes or so and race 1600 meters, finishing at River Vista. Bystanders and boats will be set up on the sidewalks facing the river.
