Wichita State has a wide range of free and low-cost services that promote and protect the health and welfare of our students.
Physical, Mental and Emotional Health
Student Health Services
The nurses and physicians at Student Health Services provide medical care and treatment
for ill and injured students. Additional services include health and wellness education,
nutrition counseling, annual exams and limited pharmacy services.
Dental Hygiene Clinic
WSU boasts a Dental Hygiene Clinic, giving students access to affordable dental care
away from home. Dental examinations, routine cleanings and other oral health services
are performed by Dental Hygiene students under the supervision of qualified clinical

Suicide Prevention
All students get stressed and overwhelmed during the semester but it’s important
to notice if this seems to shift to hopelessness, changes in functioning, or a lack
                  of functioning.
Campus Recreation
Students with a Shocker ID can exercise, participate in intramural athletics, consult
with a personal trainer, get a massage, or take a Shocker Fit class in one of our
                  state-of-the-art facilities.
Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services provides a range of services to assist students
in and out of the classroom, including testing, interpreting, note-taking, escorting,
