July 8, 2020 -- Navatek LLC, a contractor focused on technology research for U.S. government agencies such as the Department of Defense and NASA, is opening an office on the Wichita State University campus in fall 2020. This collaborative partnership between Navatek and WSU will grow combined applied research capabilities for the military, provide critical hands-on learning opportunities for students and help diversify the local economy.

July 7, 2020 -- Nearly 70 years after John and Colleen Wooley first met as students at the University of Wichita, they have established a legacy that will touch the lives of Wichita State University students for generations to come. The couple’s $2.2 million estate gift will provide more than $100,000 in scholarships each year for students with financial need.

June 22, 2020 -- Wichita State University is proud to announce that six National Merit Finalists and seven National Hispanic Recognition Scholars have chosen to attend WSU starting in the Fall 2020 semester.

June 18, 2020 -- This morning, the Kansas Board of Regents approved a 2% tuition increase for Wichita State University for 2020-21. Fees that all students pay will remain flat.   Even with the increase, Wichita State still remains the most affordable research university in the state and one of the most affordable research institutions in the country.
