Aug. 28, 2019 - Last spring, Alejandro Arias Esparza worked as an intern at FairVote in Washington, D.C., an internship funded by former Kansas governor Mark and Stacy Parkinson. The internship gave him practical experience in research, writing and meeting people that can help him help others vote and grow active in their communities.

Paddle boards on the Arkansas River

Aug. 27, 2019 - Boats & Bikes, located in the River Vista Apartments, will have its grand opening from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30. Boats & Bikes, operated by Shocker Rowing, rents boats, paddle boards and bikes for customers to use on the Arkansas River.

College of Applied Studies students compete in 2019 Clash of the Colleges

Aug. 26, 2019 -- In an annual event that pits each of Wichita State's academic colleges against each other in friendly competitions, the College of Applied Studies won the 2019 Clash of the Colleges title, held Aug. 23.
