March 4, 2019 -- To honor Women’s History Month, WSU Ventures and the Center for Entrepreneurship at Wichita State have collaborated to highlight influential WSU women who have made a difference in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. This week's feature is Tonya Witherspoon.

Jan. 15, 2019 -- Wichita State University’s College of Applied Studies awarded five high school seniors the Doris and Ralph Klose Endowed Scholarship.

Dec. 19, 2018 -- As a nontraditional student who was the first in his family to go to college, the thought of college was scary for David Bustos-Morales. But spurred on by the desire to make his family proud, he pushed through and graduated in December 2018.

Nov. 2, 2018 -- Jessica Aldrich, a graduate student at Wichita State University, is leading the way in bringing StartUp Grind U to WSU. StartUp Grind is a global startup company designed to educate, inspire and connect entrepreneurs.

Oct. 5, 2018 -- Retired Lt. Colonel Larry Burks is the new director of Military and Veteran Services at Wichita State University.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- Wichita State University has been awarded $813,000 to boost enrollment and retention of students under-represented in science, technology, engineering and math. The funds are part of a larger $3 million, five-year National Science Foundation grant awarded to Kansas State University, which is sharing grant funds with a statewide coalition of universities and community colleges.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- Last summer, Wichita State student Natalie Mark took a big step toward her goals by interning for the United Way of the Plains.

Aug. 9, 2018 - Seven Wichita State sport management practicum students are gaining career experience with the National Baseball Congress through the NBC practicum.

Aug. 22, 2018 -- Wichita State students Jared Goering, Ryan Becker and Spencer Steinert are working together to positively impact lives through wearable technology. Together they created a product called Cyfive and have been perfecting it for the past three years.

Aug. 6, 2018 -- Wichita State University continues to develop a number of new courses for working professionals through its online badge program.

June 20, 2018 -- The College of Education at Wichita State University has changed its name to the College of Applied Studies. The change was made to better reflect the broad range of educational and applied learning offerings the college provides.

June 12, 2018 - Through a new initiative supported by the Kansas Board of Regents, students wanting to return and finish their degree at Wichita State now have an easier road.

April 19, 2017 - With three degrees and a full-time job, Pamela O'Neal is a prime example of an adult learner. Pamela started her first college classes at 32. Now as office and communications manager for the Office of Adult Learning, Pamela is working toward her fourth degree.
